The Return of an Old Favourite

With 25 years in hospitality (not that you’d guess it), Richard has seen it all — from cocktail bars and city spots to neighbourhood locals and award-winning ale houses. His journey started in Birmingham and took him through Cheltenham and Plymouth before bringing him full circle back to Cheltenham, where he’s been championing independent pubs ever since.

This is Richard’s second time at The Beehive, having previously managed the pub from 2016 to 2019 — and now he’s back with even more experience, energy, and beer knowledge than before. A true pub man at heart, Richard is passionate about real ale and craft beer, and has led three venues to Cheltenham CAMRA Pub of the Year.

Expect a warm welcome, a properly poured pint, and a manager who lives and breathes great pubs.
