Meet Tom Rains, the new Executive Chef leading the kitchens at The Beehive and Fildes Restaurant, downstairs at The Montpellier Wine Bar. With a career that’s taken him from the Lygon Arms in the Cotswolds to some of London’s finest restaurants — including Claridge’s, The Berkeley and Mosimann’s — Tom brings world-class experience and a love of honest, seasonal cooking to Cheltenham.

Now back on home turf, Tom’s mission is simple: to take familiar favourites and make them unforgettable. Expect elevated pub classics at The Beehive — think beautifully cooked, flavour-packed comfort food — and refined, creative dishes in the intimate setting of Fildes.

From brunch to dinner, everything is crafted with care, creativity, and ingredients that speak for themselves. His food is bold, rooted in tradition, and full of the ‘wow’ factor.
